Unless you believe in miracles, I don't see boat ownership on my cards either. They are expensive toys not only to buy, but to maintain. I enjoy being around them and getting to check out the different makes and models etc.

@@GarnockReviews Yeah I bought a boat brand new in 2008 it was just a 2008 Bayliner 175 I loved it had a lot of fun and the damn thing went 50 mph with just me in it from a 4 banger that was cheap to run plus I had the camper top so if it rained I stayed dry me and my wife still have it. She makes a good living so maybe when all our debts are paid we could buy one but it would be second hand. Even if we make 165 grand a year combined with the cost of living these days and debts it would still take a miracle but you have a good attitude it is better to stay positive but life can beat anyone down lol. I am glad we bought our house when they were still cheap and it's paid for now. It's worth 5 times more than what we paid do not know how kids today can ever afford one.

@@GarnockReviews I watched a Carolina Skiff review saying it does not ride well in waves. I would like to hear from someone who has actually experienced the boat in waves, not just looking a some video the manufacturer puts out.

You might be able to get more info on Facebook groups or forums like the Hull Truth. I'd take what they say with a pinch if salt as it's easy to say things on the internet without proof. Best way to see if the boat is up to your expectations, is to check it out for yourself 😉

I agree 100%. When I was asked to come film a boat that's over 20 years old, I never in a million years expected it to look this good!! I've seen new boats with less shine than this 😉

I love this one too Erik. Only thing is, the Yanmar fuel economy and range is a big part of this yachts appeal. Those Cummins I'm sure would drink more than the Yanmars, and with the hill design, you probably won't get much more speed.

@@GarnockReviews could always get the 5.9 de tuned. I have a 8.3L 250 hp 6c Cummins in my 50’ commercial schooner and I’m barely using 3.5gph doing 8.5kts@2100 rpm. All comes down to gear ratios and prop pitch, I think on the low end the 6b is offered at 210hp, then again I’d opt for a single screw, not as easy to maneuver, but then again there are so many thruster options on the market now. My biggest beef with marine engines is that if you read the data tags, they are generally listed as recreational engines, and not rated for constant duty ie long distance passage making. I prefer engines with an industrial heritage meant for the long haul. Throw in a keel cooler and a dry stack exhaust and you will never again have to mess with a heat exchanger or raw water pump/impeller. At least they aren’t Volvos!!!!

It's really difficult to put a price on it, as each one is semi custom. You can change so much about the spec that in turn changes the price. For an accurate price, your best bet is reaching out to Burr Yachts. As a very rough guide, it looks like it would be around $3.5m based on other reviews I've found online.

Insurance in general in Florida is tougher than ever before, even for homes and cars. I'd recommend reaching out to a good independent insurance agent who should know how to shop around for specialists and get the deal done 😉

I've actually started seeing more boats at boat shows and also other youtube channels with diesel outboards. They are the best of both worlds 😎

Add a couple of coolers with your favorite drinks and snacks, maybe even a portable BBQ, and go beach yourself on a remote sand bar with family and friends 😎 Not a bad way to spend a day on the water 🤠

Thank you for the support! I've seen boats marketed as trawlers under 30ft all the way up to over 100ft. I don't think there is a size limit. I personally think some boats stretch the concept a bit when calling a boat a trawler though. In my mind, a trawler is something with a lot of space that can slow cruise great distances at a very fuel efficient rate. When a boat does over 20 knots and still gets marketed as a trawler, I'm not sure I agree 🤔

Just curious, where did you find that figure 🤔 I've tried tracking it down with no luck. Regardless of the figure, this one has a very high spec over the standard price. Curious what a similar spec example would cost new today 🤔

Sign of the times, my friend. There are not many boats to compare this to price wise, but if you try and match the spec on a Boston Whaler 13, you will quickly see they are around the same price.

I agree 100%. Boating is becoming very difficult for most people to get into. Boats like this, make a day on the water within reach for more families.

Lagoon have built over 7000 catamarans since 1984. They are one of the most popular options for charter companies in the likes of the Mediterranean or Caribbean. Easy to sail with a lot of comfort onboard 😎

I think you might be confusing this with the Krogen 52 vs Krogen Express 52. They are 2 very different boats 😉

Not many times I step onboard sailing yachts and think they are perfect liveaboards, but this one is, especially for her size. She would be a great liveaboard for cruising Florida and island hopping through the Carribean etc.
